Project Overview:
Skin AI is an AI-powered skincare analysis app that helps users understand their skin condition and receive personalized skincare advice. By analyzing user-uploaded selfies, Skin AI identifies skin concerns such as acne, dryness, or wrinkles, and recommends suitable products or routines tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
My Role and Contributions:
AI Integration: Developed the core skin analysis pipeline using AI models to detect key facial features and assess skin conditions with high accuracy from uploaded photos.
Backend Development: Architected a scalable backend on Firebase to securely handle image processing, user data, and recommendation logic.
Product Design & Flow: Collaborated on the entire product flow—from photo upload to result delivery—to ensure a clear, smooth, and reassuring experience for users.
Performance Optimization: Streamlined image handling and AI response times to deliver fast, real-time feedback without compromising quality.
Monetization Infrastructure: Integrated in-app purchases and a premium feature set, including deeper analysis and custom product suggestions, contributing to recurring revenue.
